I have made the jump over to Tumblr.
Blogspot has served me well, but after working with Tumblr for the Alternative Advent project I am a convert.
So this will be my last ever Blogspot post.
Hope to see you in Tumblr-ville soon!

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!
If you haven't been following the Alternative Advent blog http://altadvent.tumblr.com/ now's you're chance to catch up.
Throughout advent there has been 25 new video clips, one per day, created using footage from my archive of live visuals as well as never-before-seen clips. Each was accompanied by a new or rare track created by bands and musicians that I have invited to collaborate on the project.
Here's the final installation, soundtracked by an exclusive recording of 'Silent Night' by the wonderful Spiritualized...

It's a narrative, and is VERY different to the Advent Calendar work and Maccabees promo. Just to keep you on your toes! ...

Alternative Advent

Anyone who's been following me on Twitter should know all about this, but throughout advent I am releasing 25 new video clips, one per day, created using footage from my archive of live visuals as well as never-before-seen clips. Each is accompanied by a new or rare track created by bands and musicians that I have invited to collaborate on the project. I started to create content for the live arena as a way of giving life to graphical ideas that may never have otherwise seen the light of day. This project’s musical participants have treated their submissions in a similar way, making the calendar an opportunity to air musical phrases and experiments that never made it into fully-formed songs; an outlet for unrealised ideas.
We've got some really exciting artists contributing, and it's been a bit of a mammoth undertaking, but I'm really excited about it.
Please follow its progress in the countdown to Christmas at...
http://altadvent.tumblr.com/
and on Twitter at...

Or download the iPhone App here...

... and save it onto your home screen.
I hope you all like it!

V&A
Tonight I did a live VJ set with Sam Potter at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
It was a VERY surreal evening in many way.
What an incredible honour to have had my work within the walls of that building...

Keaton Henson Poster
It's coming. It's complete. It was clocked and laid to tape on Friday afternoon.
It's just down to web-exclusives and business talk to see what day this week the promo will go live on the internet.
Stay tuned!

Behind the Scenes on Metronomy
I was lucky enough to have Andy Lawrence as a member of crew on my last 2 promos (Metronomy 'The Bay', and the new Keaton Henson 'You Don't Know How Lucky You Are).
It's well worth checking out his blog at regular intervals. He takes his camera to every shoot, grabbing some awesome behind-the-scene snaps.
Here's some from the Metronomy promo...

Michael Gillette
I'm in love with his magazine cover for Little White Lies this month.
I saw a poster for it in central London yesterday and nearly ripped it off the wall.
It reminds me, back when I was a student my university trip was to San Francisco. I couldn't afford to go, but the class went and met Michael Gillette. Someone recorded the hour-long interview on a camcorder, and I've totally got a copy of the tape on DVD somewhere. I used to watch it repeatedly back in the day.
Total illustration awe/crush...

Hope to see some friendly faces there. I'm talking at 12pm

James Medcraft's Bible Exposition
In the Autumn of 2010, James Medcraft was in New Songdo City, South Korea.
It just so happened to be at the same time as the World Bible Exposition!
Brace yourself...
