Filthy Dukes

So, with a name like this, to be honest it took me a while to give this band a proper listen.
Although this market is completely over saturated with copy-cat bands at the moment, it doesn't mean that they're all bad, it just means that everyone and their mum seems to be playing synthesizers at the moment (not a bad thing - just an observation).
Anyway, enough about the state of electro-clash.
Being spurred on my the two awesome videos for this band ("This Rythym" by Colonel Blimp's very own lovely lady Sarah Chatfield, and "Messages" by Nicolas Randall) I gave the Filthy Dukes album a spin on Spotify the other evening.
This track really stood out. It's the title track from the album entitled "Nonsense In The Dark". With Orlando Weeks from The Maccabees taking the vocals, this beautifully crafted 6 and half minute track weaves like LCD Soundsystem's "All My Friends" mixed with Chemical Brothers' "Chosen Path", and Orlandos voice is possibly the best I've ever heard it recorded.
Mmmmmm....
